Mental Health Counselling Services

Seeking counselling is often a sign that something important deserves attention, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, under pressure, or simply wanting to understand yourself better and support your mental health. I work with teens and adults navigating life’s challenges and seeking meaningful, sustainable change.

Some clients come to counselling with a clear concern or goal in mind, while others arrive feeling unsure but knowing that what they’re currently doing isn’t working. Wherever you are in that process, counselling can offer a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity and intention. Clients don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people come simply wanting more balance, insight, and tools to navigate life more effectively.

You might consider counselling if you’re experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress, or persistent worry

  • Feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or emotionally exhausted

  • Low mood, loss of motivation, or feeling “stuck”

  • Difficulty with confidence, self-esteem, or self-doubt

  • Challenges with boundaries or relationships

  • Life transitions (school, career, identity changes, relocation)

  • Performance pressure related to sport, academics, or work

  • Injury, setbacks, or changes in athletic identity

  • Past experiences that continue to impact your present

  • Emotional or behavioural challenges as a teen or young adult

In our work together, we may explore:

  • Thoughts, emotions, and patterns that are impacting your well-being

  • Body sensations and nervous system responses to stress

  • Personal values and what matters most to you

  • Practical skills to support emotional regulation and resilience

  • Applying skills and reflections between sessions to practice strategies, reinforce insights, and integrate what you’re learning into daily life

My approach to counselling is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centred. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in the process. Counselling is a confidential space where you set the pace, with support that adapts as your needs and goals evolve.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including mindfulness-based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based therapy, and solution-focused approaches. Sessions are tailored to your goals, needs, and pace. There is no one-size-fits-all model.

If you’re wondering whether counselling might be a good fit, you’re welcome to reach out and book a free initial consultation. You don’t need certainty to begin, just a willingness to start a conversation.
