About Me

My Approach

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your emotions, make sense of challenges, and develop practical skills to navigate today’s complex and often overwhelming world. My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual, drawing from Mindfulness-Based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).

Why I Became A Counsellor

I became a counsellor after having positive experiences with counselling as a child and adolescent, and later witnessing the powerful impact of empathetic, respectful therapeutic relationships during a university internship in a counselling office. That experience made it clear this was the work I wanted to pursue. I hold deep respect for the privilege of this work and am genuinely grateful to each client who chooses to share their journey with me.

Alongside this, I’ve always had a strong connection to sport and exercise. As someone who enjoys being active, I became increasingly aware of how closely performance, identity, and mental health are intertwined. I saw how often athletes are supported for what they do, but not always for who they are. This inspired me to work with athletes as whole humans: maximizing performance while keeping mental health and well-being at the forefront.

Hi, I’m Christine (she/her), a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #20210) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I hold a Master of Science in Counselling and provide clinical counselling services to teens, adults, and athletes of all levels. My work has always been rooted in supporting people through personal growth, change, and development, both in life and in performance. I take a compassionate, client-centred approach and strive to create a collaborative therapeutic space where you feel heard, understood, and supported in making values-based decisions that align with who you are and where you want to go.

When I am not counselling, you’ll typically find me spending quality time with friends and family, exercising, cooking and baking up a new recipe, or curled up on the couch with a (text)book.
